What subjects do you offer?

What is the advantage of in-center over in-home tutoring?
In-center tutoring allows for organized instruction by qualified coaches in a controlled environment. The distractions of the home often interfere negatively with optimal learning; these distractions are non-existent in our centers.

My child is at grade level or ahead, why does he need supplemental academic coaching?

With the exponential rise in technology and global communication, students are now required to compete with their peers throughout the world, not only on a local or national level. Internationally, students are being primed with the problem solving and academic abilities necessary for success in the modern global workplace; American students need to keep up. More than ever, students need an advantage to stay ahead. The Bridell Edge equips students both mentally and academically for success on the scholastic playing field.

My student has a hard time understanding her teacher, how will her coaching at Bridell be different?

Using our Perfect Match Technology, we carefully match students and academic coaches so that positive influential relationships can be developed. Students' individual learning styles and personalities are taken into consideration in matching them with our highly qualified instructors to create the most suitable learning situation for each student. In contrast to the "one size fits all" model of traditional school, our program allows students to be taught by the coaches that will most effectively meet their particular needs.

Why is summer enrichment important?
Summer enrichment is essential for keeping students' minds fresh and filling in any gaps before the new school year begins. Academic coaching is a year-round activity at Bridell Institute. In order to be competitive players in the global education game, students cannot let an entire summer pass without sharpening their skills. Whether it is playing catch-up or working to get ahead, Bridell Institute knows which areas to hone over the summer months for maximum benefit throughout the school year. However, it is not all about the books; students need to refresh themselves with fun and games. Our summer program is the perfect way to keep kids' minds fresh and get them excited about school!

Which of Bridell's programs is right for my child?
Whether your child is struggling to keep up, at grade level, or bored and needing further enrichment, Bridell will create a program specifically to satisfy his unique needs. Our comprehensive skills assessments allow us to determine each student's academic grade level in a variety of specific areas. Then, we design a program to fill the gaps in the student's knowledge, identify areas that need improvement, and capitalize on the student's strengths. A program created specifically for your child and taught by an academic coach, who is matched with your student using Perfect Match Technology to complement his personality and learning style, is the perfect combination for success.

I've been hearing about the inadequate preparation American students are receiving for global academic competition. Exactly what is the situation?
In studies comparing educational systems of developed countries around the globe, the United States consistently comes up short. For example, the US ranks 24th out of 29 countries in problem solving and 25th out of 30 in mathematics literacy. And, not only are our students not receiving adequate skill sets for success, but the performance gap between the most- and least-proficient students in the United States is among the highest of all developed countries.1 At Bridell Institute, we work hard to give our students the tools they need to break out of this mold. We do not stop at teaching the facts, but we go a step further to teaching how to learn the facts. The principles students learn at Bridell aid them throughout a lifetime of academic success.
